Show Notes
Molly Wentzel is a certified Holistic Confidence and Wellness Coach and Reiki master who helps people love themselves and gain confidence so they can be happy, empowered and confident. She helps people release self-destructive habits and old traumas so they can move forward with vibrancy and self-worth. Molly shares that she used to work at a start-up, which was throwing her life out of balance with the long hours and poor nutritional choices she was making. “I just knew I couldn’t keep going; my body was shutting down” She decided she had to make a big change, and since she always liked living holistically and naturally, she found a coaching program to sign up for. Through this journey, she discovered that her real issue was with low self-confidence and self-esteem, which is why she chose to be a confidence coach. “I just really want to help as many people as possible learn to love themselves so they can see how the world just opens up to you after you make that change” Molly reassessed her career and who were friends were, along with where she was living. This brought awareness to how she was self-sabotaging herself. She instilled new patterns and positive behaviours, which she says completely changed her life. She has created a program with specific steps, assignments and activities to help her clients do the same. “I like to say I’m somebody’s training wheels. After, you’re on your own to utilize those tools and really implement them.” Molly recommends being self-aware of the things that you really love about yourself. By writing them down daily for a few weeks, you will be able to re-program the brain and mindset to focus on the good things. She says that we all have “negatives”, but you get to choose what you focus on. Another tool that she finds helpful is an “apology letter” to yourself. This is powerful because people are often looking for happiness and validation outside of themselves. She blames the Internet and social media for the lack of self-confidence that people have, as they are always comparing themselves to others online. “You really just have to figure out how to surround yourself with really positive people without completely cutting yourself off from the world” Family is the most difficult group of people to deal with, especially when you’re making drastic changes in your own life. “I believe everyone should be changing; if you’re not, then you’re probably stagnant” Her advice is to be empathetic and kind, but stay true to yourself as your can’t change other people. Molly mainly offers one-on-one coaching, with some workshops being offered for groups. She is creating a mastermind called the “Conquering Confidence Mastermind” that will be launching shortly, with information being found on her website. She believes strongly in the practice of self-reflection, and success is defined differently for everybody. “Do not let your fear hold you back; do not let your low-self confidence hold you back” To listen on Itunes & subscribe to The Wellness Show
