In this episode of The Wellness Show, Tyhson Banighen welcomes back Shelley Darling to discuss her sacred pilgrimage in Australia. Shelley Darling, an advocate of conscious transformation through evolutionary dowsing, recently completed a two-week journey along with companions Najma Ahern and Julie Armstrong. Also accompanying them on the trip was Christian Community priest and cosmologist, Martin Samson. The group’s Ancestral Bridge, Sacred Water Wisdom, and Dowsing journey culminated in Urulu, Australia.

Uluru, formerly called Ayers Rock, is a large sandstone rock formation in the southern part of the Northern Territory in Central Australia. Uluru is sacred to the Pitjantjatjara Anangu, the Aboriginal people of the area. The area around the formation is home to an abundance of springs, waterholes, rock caves and ancient paintings. Uluru is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Uluru and Kata Tjuta, also known as the Olgas, are the two major features of the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uluru)

The purpose of the journey was to establish a re-connection with the land’s ancestors, and to experience an immersion into sacred time, also referred to by Aboriginals as “dream time.” The group traversed Australia’s landscapes following “song lines,” the energy of the land. Their practice of dowsing was meant to increase harmony with the environment and pave the way for healing, peace, and enlightenment.

Fresh from the trip, Shelley begins the podcast by inviting everyone into the space of one’s inner and outer ancestor, a time to feel into a collective heartbeat, and an opportunity to enter into the fullness of love and interconnectedness. She hands out an invitation to stand with her on the ground of Urulu, the earth’s solar plexus, and she recites a prayer of thanks to the land’s ancestors.

To the ancestors of this land, we greet and bless you. We are the same mother and the same father. Nature spirits, earth, fire, air and water, we are all one. To the brotherhood and the sisterhood of white light, the ascended masters, angels and archangels, and all beings of the light, we ask for your guidance love and protection as we tread gently on your land.”

The journey shared by Shelley and her companions was reflective of the shift that is occurring on the planet today. It was a journey of coming together and feeling a shared heartbeat. It was paying respect to the land, honouring and respecting that which nurtures life.

It’s exactly what’s happening in the world. We’re weaving our wisdom to become the future ancestors... It is humility and understanding of the light and the wisdom that we’ve carried through the ages. We are the ancestors.”  –Shelley Darling

According to Shelley, to be at Urulu was a decision to be at the edge of the human horizon, and to be moved into a clearer sense of purpose and passion. The pilgrimage brought her into a deeper sense of grounding and resonance, which often dissipates amidst the busyness of life in the working world. The journey reminded her to be fully present in kindness, love, and shared consciousness.

“We are the ancestors. We are greeting ourselves from the past and bringing it into the present. We are part of the lineage that the planet has been waiting to birth. Learning to discover who we are sometimes takes a sacred journey to remember that we’ve been down this path many lifetimes, and here we are again.” - Tyhson Banighen

Shelley closes by holding up a dot painting, created by an aboriginal woman named Elizabeth Wilson, which depicts Urulu as a place of connection with the sacredness of life itself. The song lines in Urulu show humans how to come together and walk on the earth. The only cure for the wounds of the earth, she says, is to be moved into becoming the most loving channel of life force.
